The fifth glovebox for conducting research in a protective atmosphere that we have proudly installed at Jagiellonian University. As is often the case, this glovebox was customized to meet the client’s individual requirements. Increased depth, relocated filter locations, a 300 mm diameter circular airlock, KF50 feedthroughs, and finally, the entire purification unit with its control section located under the worktop with increased load capacity were implemented to ensure the stable operation of the planetary mill inside the box. The glovebox is illuminated by two independent LED sources – white or red light with a wavelength of 680 nm, which allows for safe work with materials unstable at shorter wavelengths.
This is another project demonstrating the importance of a personalized approach, design flexibility, and solutions tailored to the actual needs of research laboratories in the design of modern glovebox systems.
